Franklin Fountain

Franklin Fountain on Market Street offers a choice of 25 soda flavors. Enjoy a root beer float or try a "Ladies Choice," made with raspberry soda, peach ice cream and sweet cream. In a list released last month, Business Insider named Franklin Fountain the best ice cream shop in the state.

The Pop Shop

The Pop Shop in Collingswood, Camden County, offers a quirky selection of ice cream treats and specialty fountain beverages. Try an "Aloha Allie" with seltzer, coconut and pineapple syrups, and vanilla ice cream. You can also create your own soda fountain pop with your favorite flavor.

Joe's Steaks & Soda Shop

Joe's Steaks & Soda Shop has locations in Torresdale and Fishtown. The shop offers a selection of specialty sodas that can be paired with a number of ice cream flavors. The shop has also teamed up with Bottle Bar East to make BYO beer floats.

Nifty Fifty's

Nifty Fifty's has a few locations, including one on Grant Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. The diner claims to have the "world’s largest soda fountain" featuring over 100 handcrafted flavors.
