Get out and dance this weekend.

There’s something for everyone in this week’s picks: from PRIDE to indie dance to underground house – every corner of the club gets some representation. Here are the events that will keep you moving all night long this weekend: 

Friday, June 12

Making Time 15th Anniversary with Viet Cong & Lower Dens, Voyeur

Over the past 15 years, some of the best acts from around the world have come through Philly to play the legendary Making Time parties. This week marks Part One of Making Time's 15th-anniversary celebration, as Viet Cong and Lower Dens take the stage for what will surely be a magical night of music. Congratulations to Dave P and crew on 15 years of making world radness possible!

9 p.m. – 4 a.m., $15 advance tickets

Live & Direct featuring Tortured Soul, Coda

Dubbed by BBC legend Giles Peterson as “the future of house music”, Brooklyn group Tortured Soul brings their funky-fresh stylings to Coda for a night of live dance music. The always-excellent Worldtown Soundsystem are also performing live and underground kings Rob Paine & Francisco Collazo will set the vibes with an opening DJ set.

10 p.m. – 3 a.m., $10 advance tickets

Philly Strong Tour featuring Victor Niglio & Dotcom, District N9NE

Two of Philly’s brightest EDM stars take the stage at District N9NE for a night of beats, bounce, trap, and all things turnt. The event cryptically hints at some surprise b2b guest appearances, so expect this Philly-centric affair to get wild.

9 p.m. – 2 a.m., $20 advance tickets

PBR Coloring Book Project Release Party with Universal Cave, North Bowl

The PBR Coloring Book Project features the original work of 22 Philly-based artists competing for an all expenses paid trip to the Pabst Music Festival in Portland, OR. Head out to North Bowl to grab a limited copy of the coloring book, enjoy cheap PBRs, and take in the groovy sounds from the Universal Cave guys as they spin all vinyl throughout the night.

Saturday, June 13

MK (Marc Kinchen) with Shearn, The Dolphin

MK is a bona fide house music legend. His lengthy decade-spanning resume of chart-topping productions has rightfully earned him a position as one of the world’s most in-demand DJ bookings. This is a rare opportunity to see MK off the festival main stage and in an intimate setting -- get there early to catch the opening vibes from Shearn!

10 p.m. – 2 a.m., $10 advance tickets

The Shakedown with Residents Rob Paine & Willyum, The Barbary

The Shakedown fellas are calling this one the comeback because with so many amazing guests featured recently, it’s been a little while since they’ve done a proper residents night. Worship Recordings selectors Rob Paine and Willyum man the decks all night long with their deep blend of underground house and techno grooves.

Sunday, June 14

Locals+Only with DJ Sylo, Silk City Garden

Kick your Sunday afternoon into cruise control with relaxation specialists Locals+Only. Grab a bite, hang with some friends, and be sure to pick up a Fishtown Mom while you’re at it (note: that is a specialty cocktail, not a honking woman in sweatpants). The guys have called in vibe-master DJ Sylo to be the featured guest -- don’t miss out!

3 p.m. – 8 p.m., free

Factory Girls & The Culture Whore present: OASIS, The Barbary

“Log off and plug in” to keep your weekend going at this Sunday night party. OASIS is your go-to Pride Week alternative, with free PBR and Sailor Jerry from 9 – 11 pm, photos by Shadowscene, a ton of live performances, and DJ sets from Philly selectors Gun$ Garcia, K Rex, Yolo Ono, and Magglezzz.
