Noted local actor Michael Toner, who specializes in portraying Irish characters, was the victim of a hit-and-run accident Tuesday morning.
As a result of the injuries Toner, 68, sustained in the incident, doctors had to amputate one of his legs, according to NBC10.
It was raining heavily at the time of the incident, but police said the driver still should have realized what happened and stopped, according to 6ABC. Police are still searching for the driver.
Police said there was no physical evidence left at the crash scene, 6ABC reported.
