Heavy, wet snow was still falling at 2 p.m. Saturday in eastern Montgomery County, where lawns were covered by the April snow showers.
Dreams of beer gardens and outdoor picnics were temporarily delayed Saturday as snow fell amid a biting cold throughout the Philadelphia region.
Snowflakes were falling in the city around noon Saturday, with the wintry white precipitation continuing until around 4 p.m. when a mix of rain and snow moved in.
According to the National Weather Service, the rain should damper any serious accumulation of snow, as less than a half inch on the ground is expected.

A freeze warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday for much of the region.
A Code Blue is also in effect for Saturday at 6 p.m. in Philadelphia. During a Code Blue, housing and emergency services are provided for the homeless. More information on that can be found here.
