Baril's French bistro experience enhanced by legendary Georges Perrier

The restaurant is launching a new First Friday dinner series

Baril offers bouillabaisse on the first Friday of every month for $25 per person.

Baril's chef Ken Wallace has invited his mentor Georges Perrier to cook with him on the first Friday of each month, beginning March 3.

Since Le Bec-Fin closed its doors in 2013, Perrier has popped up occasionally for special events, but this will be a more permanent engagement for the chef.

Baril, a classic French bistro, will add a traditional Provençal bouillabaisse (kind of fish stew) to the menu for all First Friday dinners.

The dish is served family-style and includes a saffron broth, mussels, red snapper, clams, shrimp and potatoes served with slices of grilled baguette and rouille. It will be available for $25.

First Fridays will also include live music. On March 3, the band Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society will perform.

Reservations are encouraged.
