The fundraising event Big Climb Philly is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s inaugural stair climb to the top of Philly's tallest skyscraper. Participants will climb 43 flights of stairs at the Comcast Center on Saturday, April 23.

Registration for the spring event is currently open.

The Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and this event is one way for the organization to raise funds.

All participants in Big Climb Philly are asked to raise a minimum of $109.20, in addition to the registration fee. The fundraising minimum number isn't random; it's a nod to the 1,092 steps on the climb.

Those who plan on participating in Big Climb Philly can find more information on fundraising tips and requirements on the official website.
