Two people walking along back trails of the woods found the bodies of John Clohessy, 53, and Carry Clohessy, 41, around 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday before notifying police of their discovery.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner said in a release Friday that both individuals were homeless at the time of their death.

The prosecutor's office added that there were no signs of trauma to either body, but a final determination will be made when toxicology test results become available.

The investigation is being handled by the Major Crimes Unit of the Prosecutor's Office and the Middle Township Police Department.
