Body found at scene of fire at South Jersey mobile home park

Officials trying to identify man

Authorities are trying to identify a man whose body was found at the scene of a fire in South Jersey Monday.

Officials say the fire occurred at Shaw Crest Mobile Home Park near the intersection of Diane and Channel avenues. There, responding officers found a maintenance trailer fully engulfed in flames.

When the fire was put out, authorities say the remains of the unidentified male were discovered. The man was wearing a red and black plaid flannel shirt and gray sweat pants, according to prosecutors.

Authorities did give details on the possible cause of the fire. An ongoing investigation is underway.
