Bruce Springsteen adds second Philly tour date

'The Boss' plays Citizens Bank Park for first time since 2012

As part of his The River Tour, New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen will come to Philly for not one, but two concerts this summer.

Springsteen and the E Street Band will rock Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, Sept. 7, as well as Friday, Sept. 9. Only the Sept. 7 date was originally on the books. These dates are the first he's played at Citizens Bank Park since 2012.

Tickets for the Sept. 9 date go on sale Wednesday, May 25, at 10 a.m. through Tickets.com, Phillies.com and the number 215-463-1000. Tickets for the Sept. 7 date are on sale now.

"The Boss" will also be playing MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 23 and Aug. 25. These summer dates are in addition to an initial 37-date North American run of his tour that kicked off in January.
