Bullet strikes crib with sleeping infant inside, man shot in Delaware

Baby was unharmed, man in stable condition

A bullet struck a crib with a sleeping infant inside and a man was injured during a shooting in Edgemoor Gardens, Delaware.

The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m.New Castle County Police responded to a call reporting a shooting and found a man in his 20's with a gunshot wound in his lower extremity. The man was taken to Christiana Hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.

A bullet fired in the shooting went through a nearby home, striking a portable crib with a baby inside. Luckily, the infant was unharmed. 

Police were unable to locate two suspects who allegedly fled the scene on foot. Authorities are investigating the incident.
