Thousands of Campbell Soup Co. employees will prepare food, help clean and build shelving during a week of service starting Monday in Camden, according to the company.

The company’s executive team will plant garden beds and vegetables at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

The gardens will provide fresh produce for the center’s food pantry, according to company officials.

The company hopes nearly 3,000 of its employees will contribute about 4,000 hours of community service during "Make a Difference Week."

The first event will take place on Monday at the New Jersey Center for Aquatic Sciences, where volunteers will remove trash from the Delaware River bank between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
