Chocolate, shopping, local wineries combine for Wine Fest

Two days of fun just for oenophiles

With all of the Oktoberfest gatherings and craft beer releases, autumn can seem like a beer lovers' club, but oenophiles don't have to be left out of the fall festival fun. Wine Fest PA makes its Philadelphia stop Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.

Ticket holders receive unlimited one-ounce samples from select wineries during their visit to the Wine Fest. Participating wineries include Peace Valley, Kog Hill, Reece and The Vineyard at Hershey. Guests will also be able to purchase bottles of wine to take home at the end of the day.

Live entertainment for the weekend includes sets by Charles Lee, B. D. Lenz and Lady Songbird Claudia ParksChocolate, fruit and cheese assortments, sandwiches, salads and beverages will be available for purchase. Vendors like Bespoke Bacon, Origami Owl, D's Sexy Legs, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Drinkable Arts will be on hand for shopping, too.

Designated drivers are welcome to attend with their imbibing friends for just $10. To that end, Wine Fest also has a discount deal with the local Hilton Garden Inn (details here) so guests can travel responsibly.
