Center City District is going all-out to make Dilworth Park a worthy holiday competitor. First it opened its own skating rink, then it added on a nice cabin for food and drinks (not unlike Winterfest's Lodge). Now it's adding a mini shopping market for the holidays, coincidentally right across the street from what will soon be Christmas Village.

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will open Saturday, Nov. 21 showcasing local artisans, crafters and bakers. Local vendors will set up shop in little white tents, topped with giant light-up stars, through Sunday, Dec. 27. There will be around 25 to 30 vendors at the market except for the week of Dec. 3-9 when the market will become "petite" and only house six vendors.

So far, the vendor list includes the likes of Beaucycled, Saffron Creations, Mahogany Essentials, Camino Books, Paul Dry Books, Picket Fence Confections, Tradestone Confections and Philly Snack Foods.
