Talk about hitting your target audience.
CBS’ Doug Gottlieb was on the call for the Oregon-Saint Joseph’s second-round NCAA Tournament game on Sunday night, the perfect time to slip in a Chip Kelly reference. And he got his chance late in the game when Hawks forward Isaiah Miles trucked Oregon’s Tyler Dorsey trying to corral a loose ball (h/t Brandon Gowton):
"If the Eagles had that, Chip Kelly wouldn't have gotten fired," Gottlieb joked.
St. Joe’s didn’t get the win, but the one thing that Hawks and Ducks fans can likely agree on is a solid jab at Kelly. On that front, Gottlieb did well.
