DOVE Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes

Mars Chocolate North America on Friday issued a voluntary recall across the country of its seasonal DOVE chocolates due to potential allergens not listed on the label.

The recall affects 24-ounce bags of DOVE Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes.

The company said approximately 6,700 cases of the candy may contain some Snickers, Milky Way and Twix pieces that contain peanuts, wheat or eggs. However, the ingredients are not listed on the outer package ingredient label.

The affected chocolates were sold between Sept. 19 and Dec. 1 in more than 30 states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA said no adverse reactions had been reported. The recall was issued after a consumer noticed a Snickers piece in the bag of candy and alerted the company.

The company said consumers may return the product to the store where they purchased it for a full refund and may call the toll-free number at 1-800-551-0907 with questions or concerns.
