Former Philadelphia firefighter sentenced to prison for child porn distribution

A retired Philadelphia Fire Department lieutenant was sentenced Wednesday to 135 months in prison for distributing child pornography.

U.S. District Court Judge Stewart Dalzell ordered that William Kinsley, 67, of Langhorne, Bucks County, also receive 10 years of supervised release, a $10,000 fine, $25,000 restitution and a $100 special assessment.

Kinsley pleaded guilty on Feb. 17 to redistributing some of the child porn he found trolling the Internet under the screen name "fire."

A forensic examination of Kinsley's ThinkPad and two computers revealed 344 images of child pornography in unallocated space and one 23-minute video in a temporary file. Many of the images, including the video, depicted victims who the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children established as real children.
