Four charged after N.J. state trooper allegedly smells marijuana coming from their car during inmate capture

The men have been charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia

Four 20-somethings are facing drug charges after a New Jersey state trooper allegedly smelled marijuana coming from their car while they were stuck in traffic on the Garden State Parkway during the capture of escaped prison inmate Arthur Buckel on Monday, NJ.com reports.

Nicholas Netta, 25, of North Brunswick Township in Middlesex County; Adam Lutchman, 26, of Somerset in Somerset County; Kevin Behan, 23, of Milltown in Middlesex County; and Alexander Swartz, 26, also of Milltown, face possession of drug and drug paraphernalia charges.

New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn told NJ.com that the trooper found 10 grams of marijuana, Ecstasy pills and paraphernalia in the vehicle alongside the Parkway in Lacey Township, Ocean County.

Three of the four men were released on summons, while another was taken to the Ocean County Jail. There is no word on which of the men was behind the wheel of the vehicle.
