Philly Dance Fitness takes fun very seriously.

Philly Dance Fitness is celebrating Halloween with a special Zumba class sponsored by PhillyPlay on Oct. 29. The 11 a.m. class is free to attend, but registration is required. Normally, group classes are $12 per person.

Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. Instructor Deborah Hirsch will lead the 50-minute session at the fitness studio's South Philly location.

Attendees with children ages 2-6 can drop them off at the adjacent studio for an "action adventure dance party" with ZoomDance, using the story "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak as the theme.
