On Friday, Aug. 18, there will be salsa dancing at the Headhouse Shambles, an open-air event space.
Those who want to learn the moves can take a free lesson with Society Hill Dance Academy between 6-7 p.m. After, dance to music by Latin band Un Toque de Cache through 9 p.m., or watch a performance by Siempre Salsa Philly.
Adding to the party-vibe, there will be cocktails and empanadas from Malbec Argentine Steakhouse.
The event is free to attend, just pay-as-you-go for food & drink.
The Friday night dance party is made possible through the City of Philadelphia's Performance in Public Spaces grant program.
