Go on a nighttime bike ride with multicolor LED bike lights

Light up the night

The Pennsylvania Environmental Council will host a nighttime group bike ride on Saturday, April 16. The ride will wind through Center City beginning at 8 p.m. Meeting location will be the intersection of 25th Street and Spruce Street.

LED light arrays will be given to participants to attach to their wheels, which will make bright, colorful patterns when pedaling. Tickets for the event are $15 for one LED set or $25 for two, and participants keep them once the ride is complete.

Those who don't have bikes but want to join in are encouraged to rent an Indego bike from a nearby station. The lights are easy to attach and detach.

The bike ride will end at Rembrandt’s in Fairmount, where drinks and mingling will follow. The restaurant has a new late-night happy hour from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.
