Grand Opening party in Fishtown for PSPCA

Scavenger hunt, quizzo to take place for donations

On Dec. 5, the PSPCA is moving into Fishtown's neighborhood with a Grand Opening party. The event will kick off at noon, where families are invited to participate in a scavenger hunt. Guests will discover how animals perceive the world, will help make treats for the shelter animals, and will learn about animal health as they travel from station to station. Collect stamps at each station and win a prize when you finish. A face painter, food, beverages and ice cream will also be available for donations.

The family fun will end at 2 p.m., but the 21-plus crowd is welcome to participate in quizzo. Rounds of trivia will range from animals, the neighborhood, music and more. Teams of four should sign up before the event and will be asked to make a donation to play. Food and adult beverages will also be available for donation.
