It's that time of year again.

Now that schools are back in session, it's the time of year when many struggle to provide their children with school supplies. Cradles to Crayons, a local nonprofit which dedicates itself to providing children who are homeless or living in low-income situations with things they need, is stepping up to help.

Late last month, it began a donation drive for back to school items at Philadelphia Mills, the outlet mall in Northeast Philly formerly known as Franklin Mills. The drive is ending soon, but there's still plenty of time to donate supplies before the Monday, September 21 deadline.

All you need to do is head to South Food Court at Philadelphia Mills (near the Five Below) and look out for a set of lockers; there you'll find tags listed with items Cradles to Crayons needs. Then, go purchase that designated item (or items) and drop it in the donation bin by Five Below or the Mall Management office, which is by the restrooms between The Finish Line and Zumiez.

Bonus: shoppers who purchase supplies from Five Below and fill out a form will contribute 10 percent of their purchases to Cradles for Crayons. Don't miss this chance to contribute to a happy school year for local children.
