This year marks the 29th anniversary of "MatzoBall." The event began so that young Jewish singles could have somewhere fun to go on Christmas Eve, when most places are closed for the holiday. The first city to host the event was Boston and now "MatzoBall" occurs in 15 cities across the country on Dec. 24.

Since the party is meant to link singles up, the age range for Philadelphia's event is 21 to 39. Of course, those who want to get together with friends, socialize and network are also welcome to attend.

Rumor will host the event, which will run into the early morning of Friday, Dec. 25.
