Hat found at scene of discovery, reading "Puerto Rico" several times.
New Jersey State Police are searching for answers after a hunter discovered human skeletal remains and several personal items in the secluded woods of Buena Vista Township Thursday morning.
The hunter made the discovery at approximately 10 a.m. and notified police after spotting a hat, a pair of glasses, a bright coat, a cell phone and a lifeguard vest. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene nearby Main Avenue and U.S. 40 and took pictures of the personal items, which have been posted on Facebook to help in identifying the victim.
