Steven Sheerer (left) of Barnegat has been charged with child endangerment, including exchanging inappropriate messages, after Rosie O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter Chelsea (right) was found staying with him. Chelsea had been reported missing before being discovered at his home.

A Barnegat, New Jersey, man has been charged with sending obscene photos to Rosie O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter after she went missing and was later discovered at his home.

6ABC reports that 25-year-old Steven Sheerer is accused of sending a nude photo to Chelsea O'Donnell after appearing in court Monday.

Sheerer, who faces up to 10 years in prison for charges of child endangerment and distribution of obscenity to a minor, did not enter a plea. His defense plans to present evidence showing that he is not guilty.

Chelsea was discovered at Sheerer's home on August 19 after O'Donnell reported  on her website that her daughter had gone missing a week prior.

Sheerer was subsequently arrested and charged and ordered to have no contact with the victim or her family.

Sheerer was hit with child endangerment charges in 2012, but those were dropped and he instead pleaded guilty to third-degree drug charges. He pleaded guilty to another drug charge in 2013, but served no time.
