Jozea Flores, left, and Paul Calafiore, right, will compete in "Big Brother 18."

Need someone to root for right out of the gate in the new season of "Big Brother"? Take a gander at Jozea Flores and Paul Calafiore.

Those are your local representatives on "Big Brother 18," the next edition of CBS' long-running reality show that places more than a dozen people in a house isolated from the rest of the world for approximately three months. The winner — that is, the last contestant standing — receives $500,000.

Flores is a 25-year-old makeup artist from Bridgeton, Cumberland County, in New Jersey. He also appears to be a model and sometimes actor

Calafiore, meanwhile, should have a familiar last name for fans of "Big Brother 16": He's the older brother of Cody Calafiore, the Temple University alumnus who was runner-up in his season. Paul is a 27-year-old fitness advocate who is co-owner of Sweat Elite Fitness, which has locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. He's also a Rutgers University alum.

"Big Brother" remains a popular and competitive summer television show for CBS. Last year's season opener brought in nearly 7 million viewers, besting both "Master Chef" and "America's Got Talent." Last season also marked the first time the show featured a transgender contestant.

The 18th season of "Big Brother" premieres June 22 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
