Lamb shack takes over Zahav

They're serving their signature dish for most of February

Lamb Zahav Michael Regan/CookNSolo Restaurants

Zahav's famed lamb shoulder.

Hold on to your hats: next week Zahav begins nearly a month of lamb shack madness. The restaurant's most-requested dish is a bone-in lamb shoulder braised with pomegranate juice and chickpeas. It's a special dish only served to groups of nine or more due to the unpredictability in demand and traffic.

So, to satisfy a city full of lamb cravings, Zahav found a simple solution: just serve lamb. For three weeks.

That's right: from Feb. 6-28, Zahav will only serve a menu of hummus tehina and house-baked pita, vegetarian salatim, twice cooked eggplant, the lamb with Persian rice and chickpeas and dessert of chocolate kanafi. It's just $36 per person, plus you can BYOB for free all month.

Plan ahead and make reservations this week. You never know how fast that lamb will go!
