#LetItSnow: Temple football players head to social media to lobby for defensive coordinator Phil Snow

Like almost all college football coaches, Matt Rhule left for the bigger job when the right opportunity came along. For Rhule, that opportunity was to rebuild a Baylor program that lost a ton of talent after a sexual assault cover-up scandal that ultimately cost former coach Art Briles his job.

Rhule will have a major task ahead of him, but what comes next for Temple? Who gets to lead the kids that Rhule recruited, the kids that just brought a championship to North Broad Street? Former Texas coach Charlie Strong perhaps? How about Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead, who just so happened to beat the Owls while coaching Fordham a few years ago?

Well, if you ask those players, they want the coaching hire to come from in-house. They want to #LetItSnow.

Many Temple players took to Twitter, campaigning for the school to hire 60-year-old defensive coordinator Phil Snow as head coach. Snow could very well have a job waiting for him in Waco on Rhule’s staff if he wants, but his players want him to stay in Philly:

We’ll see what happens with Temple’s coaching search. Regardless of who is leading the Owls next season, it’s cool to see the Temple players utilize social media to make their voices heard loud and clear.

On one final note, I feel like it's my duty to point out that hashtag might be read a bit differently by Sean Connery during "Celebrity Jeopardy." Come on, you were all thinking it.
