24-year-old Manuel Cintron is sought by police as a suspect in the case being handled by the Special Victims Unit.

At 4:20 a.m. on May 1, an unknown male approached a female at 12th and Ruscomb Streets, producing a handgun and verbally threatening the woman. The man allegedly attempted to force the woman into his vehicle parked at the corner, but she fought him off and boarded a SEPTA bus, later notifying police.

After the man drove a short distance, the victim was sexually assaulted inside the vehicle and then released at Almond and Boston Streets. The male was last seen heading westbound on York Street from Almond.
