The Chocolate Martini at Max Brenner is drinkable dessert.

Max Brenner, Center City's go-to spot for massive ice cream sundaes, chocolate martinis and bonbons, is celebrating 20 years. As part of the celebration, the chocolate bar and restaurant is serving up decadent fall specials.

"Max Brenner likes to do things over the top," Jay Son, the Philadelphia restaurant's food and beverage director, stated at a press event on the new menu items.

One new edition, the Max'd Out Patty Melt, is definitely a "go big or go home" item. Two grilled cheeses, stuffed with spicy bacon, sandwich an 8-ounce ground beef patty with caramelized onions. It's available on the fall lunch menu, served until 3 p.m. on weekdays.

The fall dinner menu features more seasonal selections, incorporating butternut squash, pumpkin and apple pie into the mix.

Here's what to expect:

•Pumpkin Spice Mocha, which is hot chocolate mixed with espresso and a house-made pumpkin syrup, is served in a "Hug Mug." The special mug was designed specifically for the restaurant.

•The Apple Pie Milkshake features puréed cinnamon apples blended with graham crackers, vanilla and white chocolate ganache.

•Butternut Squash Soup is spiced butternut squash soup with white chocolate goat cheese sauce,  garnished with toasted pepitas. This item is also served in the signature "Hug Mug."

•Sweet Potato Tots are served with maple chili sauce.

•The Roasted Butternut Squash Salad has roasted butternut squash and crispy prosciutto on a bed of spinach and arugula with corn, goat cheese and candied pecans tossed in balsamic dressing.

•Apple Pie Crêpes are made with graham cracker streusel and apples sautéed in bourbon, cinnamon and nutmeg, stuffed into brûléed crêpes dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. They are served with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce.

•Bake Sale Fondue features banana bread, peanut butter & jelly bars and blueberry muffins. Warm milk, dark and white chocolate is served for dipping.
