Meek Mill faces prison time after being found guilty of probation violations

Rapper Meek Mill on Thursday was found guilty of probation violations and is facing potential prison time, according to an Associated Press report on USA Today.

Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley ordered Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, not to work or perform before the Feb. 5 sentencing.

Prosecutors argued that Mill, 28, violated parole in a 2009 drug and gun case. They said he repeatedly changed his court-approved travel schedule and ducked a drug test.

Nicki Minaj, 33, testified at a parole hearing last week on behalf of her boyfriend, promising to help keep Mill in check.

Brinkley, who spared Mill state prison time in a 2009 drug and gun case, was not easily convinced.

"This court has done nothing but try to help the defendant," she reportedly said. "How many times am I supposed to give him a second chance?"
