A video posted to Facebook shows a Philadelphia ambulance driver using his cell phone while transporting a boy to the hospital.

A Philadelphia ambulance driver will be disciplined after a mother posted a video to facebook that showed him using his cell phone while transporting her injured son.

The video, posted to Ebony Clarke's Facebook page on Aug. 31., shows the driver holding his phone up and scrolling through it while driving her son to the emergency room. She wrote:

In the ambulance with my baby on the way to the Er. Trying to figure out why the emt driving is on his phone typing long ass paragraphs and browsing Facebook while driving I guess his phone is more important than our life.

Clarke posted the video to 6 ABC's Facebook page as well and told the news station her son was being taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center at the time to get stitches on his head for a cut he suffered while playing with his cousins.

She also told the station that the unidentified driver never put down his phone during the trip.

Philadelphia Fire Department Commissioner Derrick Sawyer told 6 ABC that the driver would be disciplined, but not specifically how. He also apologized, according to the station:

"As the fire commissioner, I want to apologize to her personally because this is not what we train our medics to do, what we train any of our drivers to do."
