Fundraising runs can be a great way to give back.

The first Garden State Park 5k Race benefitting Cherry Hill Education Foundation will be on Sunday, April 10. Runners and walkers will take off from Garden State Park in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Those running will begin at 8 a.m., with walkers participating in a one-mile fun walk beginning a half hour later. All participants can check in beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The race was started by Anthony Pascale, manager at the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club, and Dr. Melissa Benenfeld Merovitz, a local chiropractor. They chose to donate all proceeds from the race to Cherry Hill Education Foundation, an organization that plays an important role in supporting students in Cherry Hill's public schools.
