While Philly has a lot going on during the holiday season – like Christmas Village, the Macy's Christmas Light Show and the Comcast Holiday Spectacular – there are also exciting holiday attractions one state over in New Jersey.

Make time to visit a farm filled with festivities, a lake covered in floating Christmas trees and a scuba diving Santa.

Holidays at Johnson's Family Farm

Families will find a variety of holiday activities at this farm. Visitors can take a musical light show hayride, watch a light show on the lake, roast s'mores by a fire pit, decorate Christmas cookies, visit with Santa Claus and buy a fresh-cut Christmas tree.

Check the daily schedule to see what's going on before visiting. Ticket pricing varies.

Smithville Holiday Light Show

Over 120 Christmas trees constructed from 50,000 lights float on Lake Meone in the center of Historic Smithville.

On weekend nights, watch a light show on the lake while popular holiday songs play.

Before or after the show, which runs from dusk to 8:30 p.m., visitors can shop the village's 40 boutiques or stroll the cobblestone paths to explore the grounds.

Christmas Underwater

Santa's going scuba diving in Adventure Aquarium’s 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm. There will be a live show daily, plus a spot where kids can snap selfies with the underwater Kris Kringle.

There are also lots of new things to experience this year at the aquarium's annual holiday celebration.

Kids can now take photos with Santa Claus in his traditional suit on weekends, and on Saturday, Dec. 9, kids can join him for milk and cookies.

Look for a giant, underwater Christmas tree, too, and don't miss the daily dance party, where snow falls in the aquarium.
