N.J. couple faces charges in death of two-year-old Camden County girl

A Camden County woman and her boyfriend faces charges in a grand jury indictment in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl, authorities said Tuesday.

Michael Disporto, 22, of Manahawkin, Ocean County, was indicted on one count of first degree Murder, one count of first degree Felony Murder and one count of 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, officials said. Amber Bobo, 26, of Gloucester City, Disporto's girlfriend and mother of the child, was indicted on one count of 2nd Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 

A grand jury returned the four-count indictment on October 6, announced Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell. 

Police and emergency medical personnel were called to the 100 block of South King Street in Gloucester City around 6 p.m. on July 3. The victim was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital, where she died of her injuries on July 5.

Disporto, was charged on July 7 with the sexual assault and murder of the child, authorities said.
