Online event-planning company expands coverage to Philadelphia

Kapow Events has expanded its online event planning packages to Philadelphia.

A Chicago-based online event planning company has expanded its reach to Philadelphia with pre-packaged entertainment offerings at popular city venues, bars and restaurants.

According the Philadelphia Business Journal, Kapow Events moved into office space at 1650 Market St. in Center City and has an initial staff of five people.

Kapok's online platform allows users to select custom packages based on attendee headcount, budget, and specialized options based on the business selected.

As many as thirty businesses throughout Philadelphia are on the company's booking list, including Independence Beer Garden, Yards Brewing Co., Lucha Cartel, and Freedom Elite at Penn's Landing.

The company, launched in 2012, now serves 11 markets in the U.S.
