Only Palin polling worse than Chris Christie

New polling numbers released by CBS provide a bleak outlook for the presidential hopes of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the Courier-Post reports.

Based on the CBS poll, Republicans appear to have little enthusiasm for a Christie campaign in 2016. Just 29% of Republicans would like to see Christie run for the Republican presidential nomination, while 44% said no.

By comparison, 30% of Republicans polled said they would like Sarah Palin to run for the Republican presidential nomination, versus 59% who said no.

Meanwhile, 59% of Republicans polled would like to see Mitt Romney enter another presidential race, versus 26% against the former Massachusetts governor. GOP competitor and current Florida Governor Jeb Bush has 50% of Republicans favoring a run, while 27% disagree.

On the Democratic side, 85% of Democrats polled want to see Hillary Clinton run for the Democratic nomination, with 11% against it. Vice President Joe Biden has 40% supporting another run and 38% disagreeing.
