Paoli man charged with sexually abusing child in Delco

Chester County man, 60, is a former youth basketball coach and Boy Scouts leader

A 60-year-old Chester County man is facing charges that he sexually abused a child, according to NBC10.

Charles Robinson, of Paoli, was charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault, child endangerment and related offenses. Robinson – a former youth basketball coach, Boy Scouts leader and church adoptions worker – allegedly began the abuse when the victim was only 13 years old, Radnor police said Wednesday afternoon.

The alleged abuse started with massages and progressed to late-night incidents in the victim's bedroom, Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo said. Robinson would remove the victim's cell phone so the victim could not contact anyone, police said.

The victim is now an adult. Police are trying to determine whether Robinson abused anyone else. Anyone with information is asked to contact Radnor Police at 610-688-0503.

Robinson was arrested on Dec. 31 and held at Delaware County Prison until posting bail Monday, according to court records. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled Thursday before Judge Leon Hunter.

Radnor police made the arrest because the alleged events occurred within the Delaware County township.
