Laurel Hill Cemetery R. Kennedy/Visit Philadelphia™

Laurel Hill Cemetery does not conform to the typical “spooky” graveyard stereotype thanks to its green landscape, breathtaking views and beautiful sculptures and architecture.

Laurel Hill Cemetery will host a new tour on March 19. Guests will walk through the grounds to learn about the writers, editors and publishers buried there.

Learn about editor Sarah Josepha Hale, who lobbied Abraham Lincoln until he made Thanksgiving a national holiday, and other influencers through history.

The walking tour will share stories which many don't know about Philly's publishing past.
