Every year, more than 15,000 people at State College join together for a tradition considered the largest student run philanthropy event in the world.

Penn State's Thon 2015 brought Penn Staters together at the Bryce Jordan Center to support 708 people who danced non-stop for 46 hours in the name of charity. Each year, Thon aims to raise more money for charity than the previous year's total. Per Pennlive.com

For Thon 2015, it would be no easy task. Last year, dancing students raised a record-breaking $13.34 million, the latest installment in the event's astounding $114 million in cumulative donations to the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital since 1977.

Unfortunately, last year's record proved too high to surpass, but Thon 2015 still raised an incredible $13.026 million.

May all of those people now see if they can sleep proudly for two days straight.
