Philly gets first cheesesteak festival this fall

Tickets are offered 'wit' and 'witout'

Finally, the festival to end all festivals. The first Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival lands at Lincoln Financial Field Saturday, Oct. 24. With more than 40 cheesesteak vendors in attendance, maybe the city will be able to, once and for all, decide who is top dog.

Not many event details are available thus far, but local celebrities and celebrity chefs are supposed to be on hand. Live entertainment and attractions like carnival games, a zip line ride and a mechanical bull will be available. A cheesesteak eating competition and the construction of the world's largest cheesesteak round out the activities.

Tickets for the festival are already available. You can purchase "Wit," "Witout" and "The Works" tickets for varying levels of access and complimentary cheesesteak samples.
