A Philadelphia man is wanted by police for allegedly attempting to run over a Willistown Township, Chester County police officer in a stolen vehicle Thursday night.
Tyrell Winchester, of the 2000 block of South 20th Street, is wanted for attempted murder and related charges. He was last seen in the area of Ridley Creek State Park in Delaware County.
Pennsylvania State Police are working with law enforcement officials in Chester and Delaware counties to locate Tyrell.
Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan urged anyone who knows of Winchester's whereabouts to contact police.
"This suspect should be considered very dangerous," Hogan said in a statement. "He used a stolen vehicle to try to run over a police officer. He should turn himself into police immediately before anyone gets hurt."
