Police are looking for a man arrested on suspicion of DUI who escaped from a Philadelphia hospital overnight.

According to authorities, Khalil Robinson, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday around 9:53 p.m. on suspected DUI and narcotic offenses near the corner of 65th Street and Woodland Avenue.

Robinson was taken to the emergency room at Penn Presbyterian Hospital at 51 N. 39th St.

Officers went to check on Robinson to make sure he was still handcuffed Thursday morning. When one officer went to Robinson's room, authorities said he sprung from his bed and bolted out of the room.

Police chased him through the nurses' station, out of the building, across Powelton Avenue and into the park across the street, authorities said.

Robinson was last seen near the 3800 block of Warren Street, police said.

Anyone with information on Robinson's whereabouts is asked to call the Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183 or dial 911.
