Philadelphia is seeking applications for a new poet laureate.
Have a poetic gift and want to rep Philly?
Nominate yourself as the city's next poet laureate.
The two-year term of the current laureate, Frank Sherlock, ends at the turn of the year.
The application process is administered by city's Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy.
Submissions can be made here until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2015.
Submissions will be reviewed confidentially by a committee, which will then make its recommendation to Mayor Michael Nutter.
