Wine lovers can't resist a good food pairing.

Philly Wine Week will kick off Sunday, April 3, with an event called Opening Corks. Taking place at Stratus Rooftop Lounge atop Hotel Monaco, the first event of the week will allow guests to sample a variety of wines from more than 25 local and national vendors.

With the theme "Wines from Around the World," vendors will be supplied with more than 75 red, white, rosé and sparkling varieties from all corners of the globe.

Guests can sip on wine, head to the Bubbly Bar for Champagne or snack at the Cheese Station during the three-hour evening soiree.

A photo booth and DJ entertainment will also be on site.

Tickets for the event go on sale beginning Tuesday, March 1. Those who purchase tickets between then and March 8 will receive a discounted price of $45 per ticket. After, tickets will be $55 per person.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, and there will be chances to win wine-themed gifts throughout the evening.
