A Delaware County man convicted of sexually assaulting children will spend at least a decade in prison. But law enforcement officials still are searching for potential victims who have yet to come forward.

Hugh Taussig-Lux, 20, of Media, would lure children back to his apartment, where he would drug and sexually assault his victims, according to law enforcement officials.

Taussig-Lux was charged with sexually assaulting four children during an 18-month span. Another eight victims were drugged. All of them were between the ages of 12 and 15.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan urged parents to speak with their children and report any potential sexual assaults.

"We have really strong reason to believe there are additional victims out there," Whelan said. "It's a question of if they come forward."

The Media Borough Police Department has connected the known victims to agencies like Women Against Rape, so they can receive counseling and other health needs.

"Too many times people forget about victims," Police Chief Martin Wusinich said. "We in law enforcement deal with it every day. To have those agencies available is very important."

Hugh Taussig-Lux was convicted of sexually assaulting four children and corrupting eight other minors.

The assaults began in the summer of 2014, stretching into 2016. The victims included children from Media, Upper Providence, Middletown and elsewhere.

Taussig-Lux would approach groups of children at parks within the Rose Tree Media School District and lure them back to parties at his Media apartment on the 100 block of East Baker Street, Whelan said.

Once at his apartment, Taussig-Lux  provided alcohol, marijuana and illegal drugs to the children, Whelan said. He would play games, such as Spin the Bottle and Truth or Dare, kissing them and removing his clothing.

"The pretext was to sexually assault many of these children," Whelan said.

Taussig-Lux was known to frequent Glen Providence Park and Media Elementary School when school was not in session to lure victims, Whelan said.

Police first began investigating Taussig-Lux on suspicion he was corrupting minors by providing drugs, Whelan said. But the investigation expanded when a mandatory reporter at the Rose Tree Media School District alerted police to one of his sexual assault victims.

Taussig-Lux pleaded guilty to charges of rape, sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault of victims younger than 13. He was sentenced on Feb. 24 to 13 1/2 to 27 years in state prison. He also must complete eight years of probation and register as a sex offender.

Taussig-Lux's guilty plea allowed his victims to avoid having to face their attacker in court. But Whelan said the defendant's plea does not include an agreement to consolidate any future charges.

If more victims come forward, Taussig-Lux could face additional jail time.

To report a potential sexual assault, contact Media police officer Nicci Young at 610-565-6656.

Young, the prime investigator, said she interviewed dozens of children and adults, who might have had contact with Taussig-Lux.

"If you know that your child hung out with this individual, frequented Media Borough and possibly the apartment on Baker Street ... I'd ask you to talk with your children," Young said. "Ask them if something happened."
