Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Frankford Thursday morning, CBSPhilly reports.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the 4200 block of Tackawanna St.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was shot once in the neck and twice in the upper back, police said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:33 a.m.
Chief Inspector Scott Small told CBSPhilly that police have no motive for the shooting at this time, "however from witnesses the shooting may have been committed by two males. The description is only two males wearing dark clothing last seen running north on Tackawanna Street."
The identity of the victim has yet to be released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
