Police: Man armed with hypodermic needle sought in Kensington robbery

Police are asking for help identifying a man involved in a robbery in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at a Rite Aid located at 338 East Allegheny Avenue.

According to authorities, the robber entered the store, stole five air fresheners and left without paying. When a security officer attempted to intervene, the suspect pulled out a hypodermic needle and fled the area with the stolen goods.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 Hispanic male, with a thin build and light complexion. He was wearing a red Phillies hoodie, dark jeans and a gray skull cap.
