Police officer involved in West Philly crash

Cop was responding to armed man, according to reports

A Philadelphia police car.

An on-duty Philadelphia police officer was involved in a crash early Saturday morning, according to reports.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. at the intersection of 52nd Street and Wyalusing Avenue, according to Philly.com.

The officer was responding to a call from another officer who was dealing with an armed man.

6ABC reports the officer was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he is expected to be OK.

No one else was seriously injured, according to the news station.
