Brandon Speach, 30, of North Philadelphia has been arrested after, police say, he posed as a woman online in order to receive explicit photos and videos from teenaged boys.

The Philadelphia Police arrested a 30-year-old North Philadelphia man Wednesday after an investigation by the Special Victims Unit claims to have found that he posed as a woman online in order to receive explicit photos and videos from underage boys.

According to Philadelphia police officer Christine O'Brien, a police spokesperson, Brandon Speach, of the 2200 block of N. Chadwick Street was arrested on Wednesday night.

While, she said, law enforcement officials are currently doing the work to formally charge Speach, police believe Speach posed as a female on various social media venues and requested — and received — nude and explicit images and video from males between the ages of 14 and 16.

For at least three years, from 2013 to 2016, police say, Speach targeted juvenile males.

This is a breaking news story and it will be updated as more information becomes available.
